2.2 Creating Your Business Entity

You are responsible for creating an entity that will be doing business as (DBA) King of Pops. The name of your business entity should not include 'King of Pops'. The most common business type is a Limited Liability Corporation (LLC). 

You are required to properly register at federal, state and local levels. This includes paying associated business license fees, paying permitting fees, obtaining a federal tax identification number (EIN), and a State Tax Certificate of Registration. 

Local ordinances vary, and it is your responsibility to research and follow all laws. We recommend Neighborhood Partners to obtain legal counsel if they are unsure what is required to legally operate an ice pop cart in their territory.
