Generating Leads

Our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, Hubspot, is where we keep all contact and event information stored and managed. While we provide you access to Hubspot and inbound leads for your territory, it is each franchisee’s responsibility to generate leads and develop connections and partnerships in their community.

As with any sales role, developing a relationship with your customers is imperative. Consider standard resources such as social media and email, as well as word of mouth through great customer experiences.

Different ways to develop leads include but are not limited to:

  • Social Media such as Facebook and Instagram
  • Nextdoor.com
  • Local businesses
  • Partnerships with local brands
  • Festivals/local events through the city

Nothing works better than making conversation with your customers and getting to know them. Ask questions and find out more about them. Chances are you’ll learn something about them that creates a great opportunity to either book an event with King of Pops, or connect you with someone they know that would.

Once you have developed a connection, give them the contact information they need and ask for theirs. It’s recommended to follow up with them quickly to maintain the connection and chance of gaining the lead. Guide them to the catering form on the King of Pops website so that their information can be automatically set up in Hubspot for you.

Using 2023 Hubspot Prospect Lists

In 2023, prospect lists for territories were generated using map software called Mapsly.

Companies in each list typically contain a business name, website, phone number and

postal code. In each territory, lists were generated containing K-12 Schools, Colleges

and Universities, Places of Worship, Property Management companies and Event Venues.

Here is a link to a document that contains an explainer video on how to use the lists, as

well as links to Hubspot Playbooks and email templates created for the lists.
