How Deal Records Work
Deal Information and Properties (left sidebar)
- The left-hand sidebar of a deal record contains all of the information submitted by the customer from the event form, as well as additional properties to be filled in by the franchisee
- As a deal moves forward in its lifecycle, the Deal properties are expected to be filled out as information is gathered about an event
- Filling in deal properties thoroughly is an important piece of staying organized from event-to-event
- Examples of Deal properties are:
- Event Address
- On-site contact name and phone number
- Pop amount
- $$ amount of deal
- Event category such as farmers market, church event, k-12 event
Activity logs (center section)
- The center section of the deal record shows all of the activity that has been logged to the deal
- Emails and email threads that have been properly logged will show up in the center section, as well as phone calls with the customer if made from the deal with Hubspot Calling, meetings setup with the HubSpot calendar integration, notes that a franchisee adds to the deal or @ mentions from other franchisees or King of Pops internal employees regarding the deal, and tasks that the franchisee has set themselves for the deal
- If, for some reason an email, phone call or in-person meeting has taken place outside of HubSpot regarding the deal, those can be logged to the activity section using the “Log” button
Associations (right sidebar)
- Associations with a Deal appear in the right sidebar of the deal record
- Any contacts and companies that are associated with a deal appear here
- A brief summary of the information about a contact or company appear here also
