1.1 Letter from Steven
In 2009 I was laid off from my “safe” insurance job at one of the largest companies in the world. It was a difficult time, but King of Pops would not exist if I didn’t have that not-so-gentle nudge.
After the shock had worn off, I had a handful of realizations. Three of which have shaped how I live my life and approach this business:
- There are no sure things.
- If there are no sure things, I at least want to have some control over the situation.
- Life is short ... it might as well be enjoyable.
The following __ pages will help you to become proficient at running a King of Pops cart business. We’ve spent the last 11 years creating a culture, honing processes, and building a brand.
We’ll teach you how to do that in your territory. That part is 100% our responsibility.
However, our brand, culture, and training alone cannot make you successful. Because it is also 100% your responsibility to be engaged, push yourself to improve, and figure out how to make it enjoyable.
As a Cartrepreneur, we believe that you will make our company better, turn a profit and create UMOHs. What you bring will be different from anyone else. Congratulations on taking control of the situation.
These are the good ol’ days.
Steven
