5.1 Prepaid Events Overview

Day-of Packing for Prepaid Events

Packing for a prepaid event is much simpler than for a retail event, as you’re only bringing the exact number of pops requested. Do not bring extras unless explicitly requested by the event organizer.


Why This Matters

  1. Ensures Accurate Distribution – Bringing only the ordered pops prevents unintentional over-distribution, avoiding situations where more pops are handed out than paid for.
  2. Maintains Customer Trust – If a customer sees extra pops in your cart, they may mistakenly think their order was shorted.

What to Do with Extra Pops

If you end up with extra pops, consider these options:

  1. Store Them for the Customer
  • Offer to place the extra pops in their freezer so they can enjoy them later.
  1. Provide Gift Tokens or a Gift Card
  • Issue a gift token or gift card for the remaining pops.
  • Why?
    • Encourages future business.
    • Many customers may not redeem the tokens, allowing you to resell the pops.
  1. Suggest Donating to UMOHs
  • Ask the customer if they’d like to donate the extra pops to our Unexpected Moments of Happiness (UMOH) program to support future community events.

By following these guidelines, you’ll maintain transparency, build customer loyalty, and contribute to goodwill through the UMOH program.
