Requirements for Claiming Unowned Deals

  • When an unowned deal is released to be claimed, you must be willing to execute the event as requested by the customer before claiming it. For example, if the customer requests two carts for a 3 hour event, you may only claim it if you are willing to provide the two carts for the 3 hour event. For the best possible customer experience, we do not reach out to customers asking to change their request to fit our needs better.
  • In the event that there is an unowned deal in Inbound on HubSpot that has been sitting for more than 24 hours and you aren't sure that you can meet the customer's requested needs but you want to reach out and ask if there are other ways to help them, add a note to the deal and tag the Franchise Coordinator with your intention and request to claim and reach out. Upon approval from HQ/the Franchise Coordinator, you may then claim the deal and reach out to ask if the customer is flexible on how they need the event to be executed. Based on their response, you then can  determine if you are able to accommodate. If you aren't able to accommodate, post the opportunity in the appropriate G Chat Space to see if anyone is able to execute the event before letting the customer know that we aren't able to help.
  • Example communication:
    • "Hi {customer}! My name is Kat and I am the King of Pops Cartrepreneur® for {territory}. We received your event request and I wanted to reach out because we don't currently have someone able to provide exactly what you requested in the form. However, if you are flexible I'd love to try and help you with your event and can do the following option if this would work for you."
  • Then provide the customer with details of what you can offer.

Unowned Territory Property

  • When moving a non-territory lead through the pipeline, if the deal was claimed through the claiming process and exists outside of any franchisee’s territory, leave the Deal Property: Territory as Unowned Territory instead of changing the territory to your own.
When moving a non-territory lead through the pipeline, if you are executing an event that was handed off to you by another franchisee and if the deal is located in their territory, make sure the Territory property is accurate to the territory the event is located in.
