Terminology: Deals, Contacts, Companies and Pipelines
Deals
Deals are records of customer inquiries to have King of Pops at their event in some capacity. In other words, a deal is a record for a lead. A deal record contains information for the specific event a customer is inquiring about, such as: date, location, number of pops, type of event (pre-paid or retail), and on-site details, as well as the emails and phone calls that have been exchanged in relation to the event. Deals are either assigned automatically according to territory or available to be claimed if they do not fall inside any franchisee’s territory
Contacts
Contact records contain the information we have for people that have interacted with King of Pops in some way. There are many different types of contacts such as marketing contacts, online store customers, contacts who have submitted event inquiries in the past or who have booked a retail event or pre-paid event with us in the past, and wholesale suppliers and customers. Contact records typically include the name, phone number, email address, and company the contact works for if applicable. The records also contain all email interactions with any King of Pops employee over the lifetime of the customer being in Hubspot, as well as any phone calls made with Hubspot calling.
Contact records also contain any past or current tickets or deals for events they have had with King of Pops.
Companies
Company records contain a list of all contacts within a company that have interacted with King of Pops, as well as a record of all tickets or deals that contacts within the company have inquired about or booked with King of Pops. Company records are tracked by Hubspot using email domains.
Pipelines
A pipeline contains the stages in the lifecycle of a deal or lead, in chronological order. For franchisees, the stages of a deal are: Inbound, In Communication, Booked, Scheduled, Closed Won, and Closed Lost. Deals are to be moved through the stages of the pipeline as their status changes, in real time.
Deal pipelines are organized by state. For example, if a franchisee’s territory is in Charleston, that franchisee would belong to the South Carolina pipeline.
