4.5 Unowned Territory Retail Events

All Cartrepreneurs must fill out our unowned territory retail event request form if there is a retail event in an unowned territory that they are wanting to apply for and execute.  The intention with this process is to have a fair and structured way to provide as much opportunity to as many Cartrepreneurs as we can, especially as we grow. This process only applies to retail events that you are prospecting on your own (not ones that came through the kingofpops.com event request form on our website and not pre-paid).

  • If you want to participate in an unowned territory retail event, you must submit the Unowned Territory Retail Event Request Form first. Please refrain from submitting the form until either the event date(s) or application deadline have been announced for the event you are interested in. Unless otherwise instructed by HQ.
  • This will create a chat alert in the "unowned retail interest" chat space letting other franchisees know someone is interested in applying to said event.
  • If anyone else is interested in the same event, they will then express interest by filling out the Unowned Territory Retail event Additional Interest Form linked in the chat space alert.
    • Cartrepreneurs will have 48 hours to express interest in an event that has been submitted
  • After the time limit has passed, an HQ Franchise team member will select who will be doing the event and assign it in HubSpot.
    • If there are multiple people interested, it may take longer than 48 hours to review. We will use the decision rubric below to help determine the best candidate for the event.
    • If no other Cartrepreneurs express interest in the event, we will assign the deal to the person who originally requested the event.
  • No one should apply or create Hubspot deals for unowned territory retail events until the deal has been assigned.
  • Once the event has been assigned and communicated to the Cartrepreneur®, that deal will then be treated the same as all other deals and be moved through the pipeline until closed. Once you have applied to the event and/or reached out to the organizer to participate, add proof of the application and communication to the deal itself. Then, the deal can be moved to In Communication.

The decision rubric we will use for determining the best candidate for the event is based on a point system to weigh important factors that contribute to success for the event and the Cartrepreneur® overall.

If there are inaccuracies in the event submission form, the Franchise Team may choose to reopen the deal for other potential interest.
